grey jays in action

so much work is done before i (lindsey, co-owner and designer of grey jays) even begin to create jewelry. since i create from found and repurposed materials there's research, proper cleaning and my favorite part: dismantling giant objects. 

this specific piece is a steel and brass fireplace frame. in the time-lapse video below you will see me (with help of our dog daisy) disassemble the frame and begin the work for our ellipse and segment earrings.
